John Goldsworthy Senior was the head of the family that moved to the Rossendale Valley from Cornwall. He, and his family (including his wife and daughters) were tin miners in Cornwall. They came to Rossendale to work the stone quarries for the building of factories and homes in the late nineteenth century. This card came to me from my fourth cousin in Oregon.
